Starting early next week, the contractor will be working along Raleigh Road between Hudson Road and Drake Road. As in the past with work in this area, we will request all residents south of Drake Road to relocate their vehicles during working hours as the roadway is excavated and will not be travelable. Residents affected have been notified of exact dates and instructions for parking prior this section of roadway being closed.

Directly following Labor Day Weekend, on Tuesday, September 5th, the contractor will begin concrete curb & gutter installation along Hudson Road and York Road. During this time, driveway access will be restricted for approximately 10 days while the concrete curb & gutter is poured, the concrete is allowed proper time to cure, the roadway is graded, driveways are restored, and the first layers of asphalt pavement are paved. Additional notices will be provided by the Village.

Thanks in advance for all those residents south of Drake Road as they deal with not having direct access to their homes during working hours for a few days next week.

The contractor has continued to work on the storm sewer while also performing other underground utility relocations within the areas that are being excavated for roadway improvements. It was initially thought the storm sewer would be installed by the end of this week; however, since they have been doing other work as well, this is delayed slightly.

Currently, we anticipate the underground utility improvements to be completed by Labor Day.  Additionally, following the Labor Day weekend, we anticipate concrete curb & gutter to begin along York Road and Hudson Road.

Either later next week, or early the week of August 28th, the contractor will be working along Raleigh Road between Hudson Road and Drake Road. As in the past with work in this area, we will request all residents south of Drake Road to relocate their vehicles during working hours as the roadway is excavated and will not be travelable. Thanks again for all your patience and understanding as construction continues.

Work Anticipated to be performed, August 14th to August 18th
·         Complete storm sewer installation for the entire project.
·         Begin roadway improvements along Hudson Road and York Road

The underground utility improvements (sanitary sewer, water main, and storm sewer) of the project are nearly completed. It is anticipated the work will be completed by the end of this week. There are likely some minor adjustments and work to be completed following this week, but the major construction of these items will be completed.

The contractor is beginning the roadway improvements along Hudson Road and York Road this week. The roadway improvements will include removing the existing asphalt pavement, installing new gravel base materials, repair unstable areas of the existing materials under the roadway, new concrete curb & gutter, and new asphalt pavement. Likely, the roadway excavation and aggregate base course installation will be performed this week, with concrete curb & gutter performed in the coming weeks.

Additional conflicts with utility company underground cables were identified this week. The Village has been in contact with these companies and requesting the cables be relocated and quickly as possible to prevent further delays in the project.

Thanks again for all your patience and understanding as we switch from the underground utility improvement phase to the roadway improvement phase of the project.
